In a dazzling display of strategy, skill, and school spirit, St. Antony’s School, Kiambu, proudly celebrates a defining moment in our chess journey. After a thrilling and competitive outing at the National Chess Championships hosted at Mang’u High School, our budding grandmasters didn’t just hold their ground—they conquered it.

We are overjoyed to announce that six of our exceptional students have qualified to represent Kenya at the 2025 African Schools Individual Chess Championships, taking place from 22nd to 29th May 2025. This isn’t just a win for our school—it’s a proud moment for Kiambu County and for Kenya.

These students, with every calculated move, every thoughtful pause, and every bold checkmate, have proven that brilliance is nurtured here at St. Antony’s. Their success is a reflection of teamwork, discipline, and a burning passion for the game of kings.
Behind every champion is a team. We extend heartfelt appreciation to:
♟️ Our Chess Coach – for relentless training and mentorship.
♟️ Our supportive parents – your encouragement fuels their dreams.
♟️ Our devoted teachers – for balancing academics and chess with grace.
♟️ Our visionary Director – for creating a space where talent thrives.
As the African Championships approach, we stand behind our players with pride and confidence. From St. Antony’s to the world, this moment is not the final move—it’s only the opening gambit of greater victories to come.
